In 2025 Tim and his wife Chris, accompanied by his brother Mark (the mechanic) and his wife Sarah (the cook) hired two fully equipped 4wd Toyota Hiluxes for a two week self drive safari. They had their own itinerary, which included camping in rooftop tents, wildlife viewing drives, visiting the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and a fly in Okavango Delta tent camping trip.
