With food prices rising and many households feeling the pressure, learning how to make the most of every grocery shop has never been more important. This programme helps people stretch their food further, save money, and reduce the amount of good food that ends up in the bin. By sharing simple, practical strategies, we can support households to waste less, eat well, and feel more confident managing their food in challenging economic times.
The Every Bite programme runs over four weeks and combines community connection, self-guided learning, and behaviour change support to help participants reduce household food waste and save money. The programme begins with a community launch event, followed by a month of supported at-home learning and simple weekly challenges, and concludes with a wrap-up event where participants share their experiences and celebrate their progress.
This structure allows participants to learn in a flexible way while being supported by their local community and programme facilitators.
The programme begins with an in-person launch event that introduces the Every Bite kaupapa and brings participants together.
