As part of ACE Festival of Adult Learners and the Welcoming Communities Week, Whiria te Tāngata celebrates life long learning and the threads that connect us all.
Whiria te Tāngata is a Māori whakataukī (proverb) meaning weave the people together. It speaks to unity, connection, and belonging and the strength we gain when individuals and communities come together with shared purpose.
Join us for hands-on learning workshops and vibrant cultural exchanges where people share their language, skills, and stories. From creative activities to interactive taster sessions, you’ll have the chance to learn something new while connecting with others.
Come to learn, connect, and create because when we weave our stories together, we create something stronger, richer, and more beautiful.
