Central Otago REAP is seeking an enthusiastic Community Sustainability Facilitator to lead and support our Enviroschools kaupapa and wider sustainability initiatives across the region.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by supporting schools, whānau, and communities to embed sustainable practices and create lasting positive change.

Working as part of our Team, you will:

· Lead delivery of the Enviroschools programme across Central Otago

· Facilitate engaging sustainability education for schools, community groups, and learners of all ages

· Support schools to integrate sustainability into their curriculum and everyday practices

· Build strong relationships with educators, tamariki, whānau, iwi, and community partners

· Identify community needs and co-design initiatives that strengthen local resilience

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who brings:

· A strong passion for sustainability and community-led development

· Experience in facilitation, education, or community engagement

· Confidence working with schools and diverse communities

· An understanding of Te Ao Māori and commitment to bicultural practice

· Excellent relationship-building and communication skills

· The ability to manage projects, reporting, and multiple priorities
