Tutor: Del Holland - Dishes with Del

With the rising cost of living putting pressure on individuals and families, this free course offers practical ways to make affordable, tasty meals using simple ingredients. We also know that not everyone has had the opportunity to learn basic cooking skills, so the course provides a relaxed and welcoming space to build confidence, reduce food waste and make the most of what is already available.

By the end of this course learners will be able to:

  • Prepare simple, tasty meals using affordable everyday ingredients.
  • Use basic flavour combinations to make meals more interesting and enjoyable.
  • Plan meals around ingredients already available in their fridge, freezer and pantry.
  • Reduce food waste by storing ingredients well and finding practical ways to use leftovers.
  • Feel more confident adapting recipes, making substitutions and cooking without fancy equipment.
