Create and Share - Video Workshop with Canva Cromwell
Session 1: Discover & Design
- Tutor-led demo: basic Canva features – uploading images/videos, arranging elements, trimming clips
- Practice time: learners upload and arrange 2–3 personal media items in Canva
- Discussion: what makes a life moment meaningful – reflection on personal identity and storytelling
- Selection task – learners choose key images or clips for their video project
- Group reflection: what did we learn about digital tools and storytelling?
Session 2: Build, Narrate & Share
- Recap of previous session - Canva tools and clarify any issues
- Tutor-led demo: adding text, music, and transitions to enhance your story
- Practice time: learners sequence their story and edit elements to communicate clearly
- Save and share tutorial – how to export video and share via email, USB, or social media
- Showcase time – optional group sharing of videos and peer feedback
- Group reflection: what did we enjoy, learn, and want to do more of?
