Geography:

Cromwell is located in the valley of the Upper Clutha deep in the heart of our dry Central Otago region.

Historically home of the gold miner, then the merino farmers, it is now seeing the increasing development of vineyards and orchards.

Cromwell is strategically located for a variety of tourist activities (see www.cromwell.org.nz) and is home to the Otago Polytechnic's Cromwell Campus.
