What is REAP?
Central Otago REAP (Rural Education Activities Programme) is a Ministry of Education and Tertiary Education Commission funded organisation that facilitates educational opportunities in the Central Otago region.
REAP operates across the entire community spectrum from early childhood through primary and secondary schooling, to continuing education for the adult community. It is a NOT FOR PROFIT organisation, which is contracted by the Ministry of Education and Tertiary Education Commission to meet a variety of performance outcomes.
Additional funding is created by individual contracts in specialist areas.
Central Otago REAP was established in 1979 and is one of 13 REAPS in New Zealand.
